Car Hire

Although Lanzarote is only a small , we strongly recommend that you hire a car while visiting in order to discover what the Island has to offer.

Before you jump into the drivers seat here a are a few things to remember.

 

• Lanzarote is part of Spain, where they drive on the Right-hand side.
• Carry your Driver's Licence, Passport and Rental Agreement at all times.
• Always wear your Seat belts, both as a driver and passenger. On the spot fines are in operation for offenders!
• Speeding and Drink-Driving both carry steep on-the-spot fines.
• In the event of an accident, do not admit liability or part with any documentation or money. Co-operate with the Police and contact the Car hire company.
• Park in allocated spaces.
• You should be at least 21 years old in order to hire a car.
• Make sure that the vehicle has fully-comprehensive Insurance.
• Some (many!) Petrol Stations do not accept Credit Cards so make sure you carry enough cash with you.
