Summer in Lanzarote

Typically, the weather in Lanzarote, in Summer (April - November) Summer is hot and dry. Average temperatures peak at between 24°C and 29°C. Out of season the nights can become cool (take a jumper!) but in the peak summer period evenings continue to be warm at around 20°C. You might be lucky enough to get a nice sea breeze which helps to cool down the air when it blows, however if the wind blows from the east then prepare yourself for temperatures that can reach nearly 40°C! .

In Summer Lanzarote see's very little rain, however at the start and end of the peak seasons you might get the odd shower. These showers can be quick bursts or they can last for half a day.

Winter in Lanzarote

December to March brings warm days and cooler nights. This makes Lanzarote a favourite destination for winter sun. Temperatures during the day can reach 24°C with the night dropping to a comfortable 16°C. As in the summer, if the easterly wind blows temperatures can reach the high 20's.

The amount of rain during winter increases and storms can sometimes be seen around the island, but they don't last for long. The sea tends to be alot cooler during the winter months so some opt for the heated pools over a dip in the ocean.

In Winter, we recommend that you take warmer clothing for the evening. Whilst the days can still be warm (you will need sun protection!) the evenings can be a little cooler, especially when there is a gentle breeze. Part of the reason it seems so cold at night is because it is so warm during the day!
