Femes

Up in the hills, not far from Playa Blanca, sits the tiny village of Femes.

Femes doesn't really have a lot to offer tourists, although it has managed to preserve it's charm by being hidden away. It has a nice restaurant opposite a quaint church. The restaurant has outside seating and spectacular views over Playa Blanca and the south-west coastline.

On a clear day the sunset from Femes is a sight to be seen.

Femes has become particually popular with cyclists, not only for the challenge of the ride up to the village but also the reward of the stunning views at the top. We have seen many a group of cyclists relaxing in one of the restaurants that overlook Playa Blanca but a note of warning - cycling up to Femes is not for the faint hearted!

Because Femes has no real tourist attractions there are no organised trips to the village, so you will need to hire a car to get there.
