Costa Teguise

Not far from the islands capital, Arrecife, Costa Teguise is situated on the east coast in the central part of the island and is one of Lanzarote’s main tourist resorts.

Costa Teguise is a resort built with a purpose, which started to take shape in the 1970s. Don't let this put you off visiting though as development has been carefully thought out and managed over the years. It is currently undergoing something of a revival with many of the older developments being refurbished.

In line with the rest of the island of Lanzarote, the Costa Teguise weather is usually very good all year round. The beaches are on the whole windier than those in other resorts, which explains the proliferation of windsurfers, however this can be a real benefit in the height of the summer.

Costa Teguise is well served for golden beaches which are very clean and well looked after. Many of the hotels in Costa Teguise have direct access to the beach.

There are a large number of restaurants, pizzerias and grills along the sea front and what seems to be a growing number of Irish pubs and bars!

There are a number of large hotels in Costa Teguise and it is very popular with Lanzarote holiday makers.
