Lagomar museum is by far the most unique piece of architecture on the island. Designed by Cesar Manrique, this spectacular and quirky house has been beautifuly crafted into the side of a volcano.
The museum boasts a stunning outdoor area with a pool. Each room has been beautifully designed, with winding coridors built into the lava tunnels and grand rooms looking over the green gardens and with amazing views over the island.
These stunning lava caves and gardens were purchased by actor Omar Sharif in the 70's, and it is said that he lost the house in a bet the next day. The house is now open to the public as a museum, with a cafe and bar on site and a small aloe vera museum within the grounds.
Entrance into the grounds costs €5 and we recommend keeping 1 - 1.5 hours free to visit.
